St James Hotel

The St. James was first built in 1872, on the recommendation of U.S. President Ulysses S. Grant. In its day, the St. James was visited by many famous lawmen and notorious outlaws and was the location of a number of murders.

Phenomena include a room so haunted that it remains "permanently locked"; the apparition of a woman and her perfume; apparitional faces in the mirrors in the bar and ghostly cowboys in the old saloon; the smell of cigar smoke and electrical interference.
